    I have been waiting for this answer for ten years, and somebody just pointed it out to me today.

    If you use this as your render path:

    [your render path]/$date/$prj/$pass/$prj_.exr

    then C4D will create folders for date, project, and all passes, then name your file the same as your scene, followed by an underscore.

    I’m going to go pick up all of the little pieces of my brain off the floor now.

    Safe boot worked, and then a normal boot worked as well. So i have a fix for when it comes up again. Hopefully it won’t be a common occurrence.

    Me too me too! After installing r13, i have the same problem in my old version, r11.5. Additionally, i cannot run updates – the program refuses to restart and install.

    C4D r13, mac os lion 10.7.2, mac pro v3,1 quad core 2.8×2. ATI Radeon HD 2600. Wacom Intuos 2 w/ latest drivers.

    Repairing permissions did not help, turning OpenGL off entirely did not help.
