  • I just go from Premiere Pro and then to Speedgrade and then use denoiser in Premiere Pro.

I don’t go to After Effects anymore. I due believe that After Effects is faster, but Premiere isn’t that slow either. It just makes everything so much easier when doing it all in one program.

I’m usually happy denoising after my SG work, but I read that some people like to denoise beforehand which i will start experimenting with.

I just think it’s easier on my computer too when I denoise at the very end.
I’ve found myself using colorista a lot as well and use it to compliment my work in SG. Again keeping everything within Premiere still.

That was my plan, but do you think 1080p 30fps conformed to a 24fps with twixtor might be able to pull it off?

I’m just worried the 720p footage will degrade if I upscale it.
Unless you think I can get away with it.

    Thanks for your response.

The videos I normally work with are all over the place with layers so doing and EDL isn’t my best bet.

Does Speedgrade have some sort of noise reduction?
That is really the only reason I use AE for some projects unless I need gfx.

My other main question was what I said above which was if I dynamic link PP and AE is there a way to keep my clips separated the way I had them cut.

    Sorry one last question.

So when I am in Media Encoder I am originally shooting as ProRess HQ on to the Atomos….is there a lose-less way to day this pull down method?

    Thank you so much.

Everything seems to look fine after rendering.
But the footage I am using is hard to tell if there is actually a visual difference.

I’ll try the batch process with Media Encoder as well.

I’ll just continue to use this process for now, and see how other tests look as well.

I hate being the guy always asking questions.

So the 60i becomes 29.97 in premiere.

I drag the file into a 23.976 timeline and obviously I have to render it, but there has to be a way to just do a batch process for all of these clips I have.

Perhaps I do have my settings wrong, but the camera is at 24fps. I could be doing something wrong though I will check again soon with the camera.

So there is no need to “interpret” footage?

    Thanks for the response.

    Let me clarify.
I shot at 24fps on the AF100 but it outputs 60i to the Ninja via HDMI.
I just want to be able to get the 24fps back now.

I just do not know the steps to take or exactly what program to help me achieve this.
