    Hi rafael

Thanks for coming back on this 🙂

Yeah i have tried stream clip ….it does work but it tends to make the footage a bit dark ??

I really like the network Compressor render split file process. Really fast over the network of Mac’s on fibre here.

That’s why i was trying to get compressor doing this chore.

Ahh thanks … we sorted it or rather the person who said – to mess with the IO Streamguard in the SANbox 5200 san switch manager software under ports after selecting the port. -I switched it on the off on all ports then back into auto and for some reason it just started to work ! Even back to the auto setting as defualt ??

Anyway thnaks guys ! IT sorted problem IO Streamguard – mess with it !.

Now finalcut fly’s – Really smooth scrubbing and i get bout 16 DV streams from one side of the Xraid on Fibre – Thats about the max the MAC can display.

Although i would like to know where to get a new version of the Qlogic San Manager V5.0 – my version is 4.2 as it flags a message saying ” Firmware unsuported” as the firmware is 5.0.

Hi Guys thanks for comming back to me on this one.

The XSAN is not even set up yet . .. It’s just a local Connection to a volume that is Fibre. Fomatted using Disk Utility.

So…. from a G5 Fibre card to the Qlogic 5200 switch then to the XRAID.

IO Guage says its cranking out 170Mbs + but final cut scrubbs a 9.2 Gb DV file better using a local sata drive or even a Firewire drive ??

I will try the setting for stream guard under the switch panel…
