Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve used the Humbuckers before (with fine results) but I believe they only do composite. Ideally I’d like a component or at least Y/C device. I’m borrowing a power supply transformer this afternoon. Maybe that will do the trick.

The easiest thing to do is to use another lighting device (small softbox for example) and place it at an angle so it dosn’t reflect. I don’t think you’ll have any luck using a lightring- since you need to change the angle.

You could also pop the lenses out of the glasses or use a set of frames without the glass.

Try googleing some good key words like:

    You’ll get some interesting sites.

    Yeah- what he said…

And to go on: If you go to FCP’s Easy Setup, be sure to have “show all” checked in order to see the “AJA NTSC US Betacam” ….to whatever codec you are capturing to or editing with.

Also check to make sure you have your genock/blackburst hooked up correctly. You should be feeding it to your VTRs and AJA IO.

AJA Tech support will surely help. If for some reason you need hands-on guidance , drop me a line. Coincidentally I’ll be through Burlington in mid July.
