Thx again Eric, and don’t be embarrassed of embracing your inner snark, I really do appreciate it. I was planning on mastering this job to HDCAM SR Dual Stream and sending it to Modern VideoFilm or maybe PassmoreLab for S3D-BR authoring, (might you have experience with Passmore? I know Modern) but the client requested anaglyphic/passive on BR so I thought why not dive in and deliver on my own. I will look further into Netblender beyond a quick read, I just saw Windows and Bootcamp and went no further, I still don’t quite understand Jobs’ refusal to acknowledge the existence of Blu-ray other than furthering itunes enslavement. As far as burners go, is a burner a burner or are there expanded levels for full bandwidth HD video authoring?
    Thx Again,
    Jim

Hey Eric thanks for getting back to me and I do appreciate the snark. If you read my post you obviously know that I’m aware of the diff between Blu-ray & SD DVD as well as the inability of DVD Stu Pro to work in that format (thus the posting). I am still looking for someone with experience in delivering full HD 24p on BR to advise me on a reliable burner & design software with an eye towards S3D menu design and burn capabilities. I am aware that the 3D Blu-ray spec is just being rolled out, but I do know people have been delivering their Stereoscopic & 24p HD content in single stream muxed H.264/AVC on Blu-ray for the last year or so and just want to know what they are using and like. I’ll be encoding in Episode but am looking for a software design & burn solution for the authoring, not a proprietary 100K set up. Appreciate the Netblender ref. but that’s for how do you say it…oh yeah…Windows. Thx.

Nice. Are you really getting simultaneous HD and downconverted SD out put from the unit? Also are you using the DVI connector to monitor your HD output? How’s that working. Final question, does the MBE have any real time effects acceleration as well as Open GL acceleration? Thank you so much for getting back to me on this. I’m finding it very difficult to get good, accurate info on this unit. It bothers me that Black Magic sends me to local resellers in NYC for product info. They really have no idea what the MBE does. The “most reputable” of which told me it’s only an interface box which needs to be coupled with one of their capture cards to work. Oh boy! Am I going to have the same problem when it comes to tech support? Again thanks Adam for your help.
