Nick, I think this is a great idea and would be as much fun as the Wedding Channel, or even more so considering there are more hit Vampire shows then Bride and Groom Series on TV. In fact, if you ever get this together, call me as we have interesting funerals here (pujas) where the body is burned atop a big pile of wood and then the ashes are scattered in the river. Sometimes there are dozens of funerals burning at once, which is quite the scene. So consider us your funeral reporters in South Asia!

That’s a hoot! we gave up with contracts here in nepal as there is no legal system to speak of and so no recourse anyway – other then to hire some thugs to go beat the crap out of the offending client. there are lots of thugs willing, so this system really works. for awhile we did keep our standard form contract just for equipment rentals, in case an item never came back or was damaged. but the items always do come back damaged, or with bits missing, and here the best solution is to get the thugs out. i highly recommend this system to all the peeps who seem to be having a problem with contract breakages. And don’t worry about clients not coming back because the thugs broke their fingers, you just pull out the thugs one more time and the clients will come running back to your shop. Well, good luck all!

hi Jerry! i gave up on the PS animator long ago and just use it now to create animated gifs using Apple Motion with PS as the image generator only. See this https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/170/860945 if you have Apple Motion, where positioning keyframes is as it should be:)

Yes, I see the error in his ways. U actually delete the Alpha layer and keep the Cloud layer which has just some pixels preserved from the preceding steps. Do not flatten anything, and do a “select all” on the background layer and fill with another color (in this case it was blue). What u should end up is a Cloud Layer and a Backgound layer, where the Cloud layer only has some pixels from the “render clouds” filter process, and those pixels left over are mixed in a transparency that can be used above or below any other content layers that you add. This was not explained, but is the intent I gather. I am not sure what all those other images were about – the one with the scary monster, they did not seem relevant to the tut. well, let me know if it’s still not clear!

thx adam for that. do u know if the demo coexists with current version or do i have to setup up a test machine? (that takes alot of time, as i would have to install plugins, poserruntime, etc, etc.) the new animation function sounds interesting (although the old one seemed like any other). Even downloading the demo here takes forever! well, thx for ur comments.

K, do you have some stock pic of a moon to work with? I’d start there and then use a filter like Stamp or Photocopy to get a cartoon effect. Then it’s just a matter of using a cutout of the moon on a top layer and some lighting effect below it. Cheers,

no, CS3 had all kinds of strange cursor/zoom problems, perhaps that’s why they redid the engine in CS4. Anyway, have u reset ur preference files? That’s the first thing I always do whenever PS acts wonky, which is rarely, and 4 times out of 5 that fixes it for me. Good luck!

Sure thing. Just make sure that before you try, you download the Camera Raw Update 5.3 (or perhaps if you read this months from now it will be 5.3+) and things should be fine. I recommend Lightroom2 for pre-processing CR2s and organizing ur photolibrary however, as the interface is a bit more flexible there. Once you have the raw the way you want it, u can always right mouse to PS CS4 for further manipulations. Good luck!
