thanks for the quick reply crispy….
I’m a bit confused by AJA’s support team on this one…
So you could conform you’re offline with the new DPX’s?
what did you do when AJA’s DPX2QT prompted you for a source ID?
And did it have keycode info in there as well?
    cheers

    Thanks Steven,

that’s exactly the kind of explanation I needed. The telecine hasn’t been done yet.
We would ideally like to have the project edited at 25fps, in case there aren’t any 24fps capable ext’ monitors available… so I guess we should insist on getting it transferred using the 24&1 method right?
As for sound… sound will have to be synched later, and I’d rather not have to go down the whole speeding things up by 4.1% for every clip business, but I guess any of the methods you mentioned will allow me to work with the footage at the speed it was intended to be played at?
    thanks again.

    by the way,
everything should be the same aspect ratio as the project… if you’ve got it all set up in after effects at 1024, do your new renders with the stretch function set to 720-576 with the correct pixel aspect dv 16-9… or start again… whatevers easiest and works….
just requires a bit of trial and error i’m afraid

    hello,
I went through horrible episodes with this…
    Do a few tests.
I found to get perfect rolling credits I would change the field order to upper field first, i know it goes against logic but sometimes it works…
and also check it with frame blending on and off,
theres a few variations in there, but this is the way I got it work….
sorry for the crap technical breakdown of the problem but there you go…
    worked for me.
