Thanks for the reply, it looks like I can now burn my 1:55min video onto a 4.7GB DVD but can only be viewed on my desktop computer and not in my DVD, When I insert the DVD for playback into my DVD Player it say’s “Disk unknown” So I think I am still formatting it wrong to where my commercial DVD Player does not recognize it. The last time I render my 1:55min video I formatted as:

Custom (1920×1080, 29.970 fps)
Field Order: None (progressive scan)

Anything I am doing wrong here?. The issue here that I am dreadfully needing help with is with the rendering settings and Project Properties settings to where the DVD can be viewed and compatible with most commercial DVD players out there without the video suffering video and sound quality. I am also afraid that the settings I am choosing to render my video with will either be to big or too small for it to be viewed say perhaps on a 47in screen TV. Any help on settings and format I should use while I render my video will be greatly appreciated.

I am done editing a wedding video that’s about an 1hr:54 min on Sony Vegas Pro 10. The original video was recorder on a Sony MiniDV cassette camcorder. Now my dilemma is how to set the rendering settings and how to burn it directly from Vegas pro onto a DVD. I am just trying to render the video so to ensure its maximum playback compatibility with most commercial DVD players out there and also to set the frame properly to be seen on variable TV screens without the frame being trimmed because of the settings before rendering/burning to DVD. I realized that I needed more DVD space after attempting to burn it onto a 4.7gb DVD thus I went out and bought a 25pck of Memorex Dual Layer DVD+R 8.5GB/240min. It’s a wedding video so I am trying my hardest to make it look/sound its best quality, I know Blu-ray is better but I do not have a bluray burner. I have a philips DVD+R Double layer 8x drive. Are there options to try compressing the file since its a large one to make it fit onto my 8.5Gb DVD’s. After attempting to burn it directly from Sony Vegas it tells me that the image file is to big and to adjust the rendering settings to make it fit on my DVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am COMPLETELY NEW to Sony Vegas and setting parameters/frames/rendering settings on how to export your videos and burn them onto a Double layer DVD.
