Thanks! So easy, I knew I must be missing something.

I added a smart collection with the filters- Media is: video with audio, Type is not: synchronized, compound, mulitcam, and project. That gave my my original video in a smart collection to check duration of only what we had shot, without the separate audio tracks or clips I created by syncing.

OK, thanks. That was my take on it too, but I’m dealing with drift between my recorder and camera, and wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong in creating my compound clips before I started troubleshooting the issue.
