OK, I see from Rafael’s response to my question (thanks for that!) that I have not been precise enough (sorry – first time).

I am an Apple and FCP pro user and quite aware of the options to transport media files from the Mac world into the PC world – but that is not the point of my question.

My point is – if a windows client can be used to view media files on a mac server, doesn’t that force the QuickTime codecs on both machines to be identical? Or how else is this working?
