It was the first link I found when I searched, so after I discovered a solution I thought I’d share it for the next person who finds it!

Detach the audio and video. Copy the audio (command-C) and paste it at the end of the other audio. Delete the video clip. It will take out the original audio with it, but the audio-only copy will still be there.
