The selected clip is the same as the one in the source viewer. Luckily, I have pinpointed the problem, unfortunately, I don’t understand it.

However, here’s a little background to the problem:
I’m running CS3 on a HP with Vista with a 1.83 GHz Core duo processor with 300GB and 3GB of RAM, but ppro always crashes as it tries to render a HD clip (all of the files are on a portable hard drive, and all the links are intact). We then try on another computer, a Sony Vaio also running Vista and Premiere Pro CS3 with a 2 GHz Core duo with 100 GB and 1 GB of RAM. The HD clips render on his computer, but only some of the links are broken.

Here’s the actual problem:
When the clips are imported by the HP (my computer), it lists the properties as having a source audio – it doesn’t show any tracks. However, when imported by the Vaio, it lists the properties of the clip as having 2 tracks, a video track and an audio track. Hence, why it thinks that the clip does not match the original. The .avi clip that is being imported is the same clip both times. Could it possibly be a problem with the settings of our ppros? Thanks for the help!

Hi,
I’m having the same problem. I followed the suggestions above but after I try to replace the clip with ‘Source Monitor-Replace by Frame’, it gives me a ‘Replace Clip Error’ that says ‘The source clip lacks sufficient head material to match to the desired frame’.

The only possible reason why I see this happening is that there’s animations and key frames attributed to the clip, but I’m not sure…

Is there another way to relink the media or a solution to this new problem? Thanks!
