    Welcome Sean. What studio is distributing the film here in the US? We’ve been working with some of our clients to find a way to lower the cost of getting into Blu-ray. Mabye your distributor is one of them.

    Small world. I work for Cinram, but in the Blu-ray department. To answer your question from the last post, the encoder will pick up on the cadence as long as it doesn’t break. Make sure that all the post work is done at 23.976 and the only time it goes to 29.97 is when it is being put to tape.

    Sony’s AVC encoder uses network distributed encoding. The more PCs on the network, the faster the encode.
