PS – no drivers are needed for the HDMI > SDI converter, as it is a totally stand-alone hardware device that just gets connected inline with the video cables. Nothing to do with the computer and won’t show up in Premiere Prefs.

Looking at your original request, and some of the replies, I think something got lost in translation. You don’t want to take the HDMI output from the computer display card and simply convert to SDI. Rather, you want to have Premiere DIRECTLY feed video to an SDI output, meaning for instance using a Black Magic Ultra Studio Mini Monitor which is specific to that purpose.
I’m assuming you have a Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 port on the MacBook? Install Black Magic drivers, connect UltraStudio device, and in Premiere Playback Preferences you would check-mark Blackmagic Playback and then click Setup to adjust video output format settings as desired.

Computer display cards don’t output the same frame rate as video, which typically uses fractional frame rates like 29.97 or 59.94 and also the color is different, like RGB versus Rec. 709 of actual video. So converting HDMI out of computer to SDI does not really provide optimum results.
By using the UltraStudio Mini Monitor, that perfectly outputs a proper VIDEO signal from Premiere, having nothing to do with the computer graphics card in the computer. That is the desired workflow to properly monitor what you are playing/editing in Premiere.

In very basic terms, when you simply use an output from the computer graphics card to “preview” video output from Premiere, there are a few caveats:
1) The timing is wrong. Video frame rates might be 23.976 or 29.97 or 59.94 fps, but the graphics output from the computer is likely 60.00 fps. A discerning eye may pick up that the video is not smooth, something is a little “off” with the playback. I can usually see it, just doesn’t look quite right.
2) If working with 1080i (interlaced) footage, the computer graphics output is going to be progressive and not properly display the interlaced source
3) Color – computer output may be “RGB” while HD video usually uses “Rec. 709” color
I use Premiere on a PC and if I simply use a second HDMI display from graphics card as the “Output” monitor for Premiere, to me the “video” doesn’t quite look right. Might be a little choppy, or hard to put words to, but just not quite up to par.
If I use a Black Magic output device and run that HDMI signal to same monitor, the video looks more like…video. Just looks better to me.
Now I don’t have a color-calibrated display or claim to be an expert on color correction or anything, but going back like 20 years, I have used video I/O devices from DPS, Matrox, and later Black Magic to always monitor my NLE video output AS VIDEO, and feel this has been beneficial to me to see the video as intended to be seen, rather than looking at a “computer display approximation” of the video. This goes way back to working with SD video via S-Video output devices and then later moving to HD first via Component Analog connections and later HDMI as technology evolved.
Maybe not as important today with 1080p sources, but having worked for many years with SD and HDV, both of which were always interlaced, using a real VIDEO monitor helped me often to see fielding issues that never would have been apparent looking at the computer screen alone. I was able to see exactly what the customer would see in the delivered video, watching it on a TV monitor as they would be. Otherwise a lot of issues may have made it out of the studio unnoticed.

A proper DVD will have a folder called VIDEO_TS and within it, one or more .vob files.
This layout is created when you author the DVD using proper software such as Adobe Encore, Sony DVD Architect, etc.

If you delete the originals, then later somehow determine that the transcode to the intermediate file is somehow faulty, you are out of luck!

Yep, as Tero stated, install Premiere CS6 to get Encore CS6, but I will add that you can then UNinstall Premiere CS6 and leave Encore intact if you want. Or just leave Premiere CS6 installed, will coexist with CC.

Sometimes the rendering of complex effects, while at the same time encoding to H.264, can multiply export times.
Try exporting to an intermediate codec first, such as ProRes or DNxHD. This is much easier for the machine to encode, but will create larger files, so hopefully you have adequate storage.
Once the file is exported, then convert that file to H.264 for delivery. This two-step process could very well be much faster than what you are doing. Perhaps try a short sample both ways to compare times.

If the left and right channel content were different, then they would not cancel one another out since they would not be exact opposites.
Therefore the FILL effect is not causing harm since audio is already mono. Don’t use it if the solution doesn’t suit your needs. Just offering an option that works for a lot of users in the same situation.

If you have a stereo track with the inverted channels, quite simply apply either the FILL LEFT or the FILL RIGHT audio effect. This will put the same audio onto both channels. Done. No messing with audio mixer or Audition or anything.
