Have either of you had issues with color conversion when using the scaler? The laptop is probably putting out RGB and the ATEM wants YUV or YPBPR.

Ok one last post. Had my network gurus out. They brought an ancient 10/100 hub. Success!
IP settings as follows:
PC: 10.50.50.2, mask: 255.255.255.0 No gateway
ATEM switch (rack unit):10.50.50.5 mask:255.255.255.0, gateway:10.50.50.2 (yes I know this is strange, but it was the only way it worked)

Looks like my gig switch is dead or incompatible, so I’ll replace it. Also tried both a regular ethernet cable and a crossover cable on a mac and a pc and all fail.

Thanks for the reply. This was just my experience. I plugged in a cisco g-e switch, assigned ip on PC and via usb on the broadcast panel. Power cycled. Couldn’t ping, broadcast panel showed no activity (no yellow light). IPs were right, was able to set over usb. Blackmagic support walked me through my PC ip settings.
As far as direct connect between PC and the Broadcast Panel (we didn’t pop for the hardware control), plugged in one end then the other and both devices sat idle. Ipconfig showed media disconnected, broadcast panel sat showing no activity (green light flashed once a second or so).
Stretched a enet cable across the room so both were on the LAN and everything lit like Christmas. Software control instantly recognized the panel and I was off to the races.
Maybe this is a terminology thing, the broadcast panel is the 2RU device with the heat sync, right?

I had the same issue last night, couldn’t connect via usb. Un-install, re-install solved it.
