Is the AC3 audio stereo or multi-channel?
Regardless, try burning the project to an RW disc (no coasters) and see if the AC3 audio comes through OK on a disc.

I like to think of Overrides in Encore like Curves in Photoshop.
They are very powerful, but you can really screw things up if you
a) use them without knowing exactly why you need them, and
b) use them without knowing exactly what they do and what they are for.My best advice is to never use overrides unless you absolutely, positively cannot accomplish your disc navigation any other way.

Your project seems to be seriously smurfed. Try rebuilding from scratch with a new project name.

How do you link to that menu?
Do you have any overrides set? Any at all, anywhere?

Hi Rich,
So far, my research indicates that these types of errors are caused by modifying existing assets outside of Encore. Encore has the “Replace Asset” and “Edit Original” commands available inside the program that will maintain proper links to all the project and asset files, even when changes are made.
If an asset is altered outside of Encore, those links can be damaged, which will produce the error.
Does this apply to your situation?
Sometimes deleting the referenced asset and project object, then doing a Save As and opening the new saved project, and then rebuilding the deleted object will fix the problem. Other times the links have become so mangled that only rebuilding the project from scratch will work.

Why are you using overrides? Unless you know exactly why you need them, all they will do is mess up your navigation.
Kind of like adjusting Curves in Photoshop without knowing what they’re for or why you need them – very powerful, but you can get yourself into trouble faster than you can blink if you don’t use them just right.

[heath firestone] “If you then right click on the curser and choose add chapter point, you can do a couple dozen chapter points in a couple of minutes”
It’s even faster than that – a quick tap of the asterisk key on the numeric keypad will add a chapter marker, just like it adds a sequence marker in PPro. 🙂

[Laurence Rietdijk] “I still don’t understand how you ‘do’ do it”
You need duplicate menus – one for each button. Add the appropriate picture to each button on its respective menu. Edit each Menu Color Set to make the Normal highlight state transparent. Set each “non-picture” button on each menu to auto-activate and link to the appropriate dupe menu.
