  • the problem would not show up on the computer…i posted web previews of what I was doing with no evidence of this problem….that is why I got caught at the last minute with the issue. The problem only showed up on the DVD when played on a TV…and later I noticed it if I sat and watched the render window.

I finally got some help from the Pinnacle Liquid forum. The problem was that I needed a patch for my graphics card. I don’t know why this happened so randomly and suddenly b/c I use the program/computer daily for video editing… but the patch seems to have solved my problem.

Thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it.

  • I posted earlier that I might have solved my problem by reinstalling the program, but I was wrong. The problem still occurs…it is not visible when playing in the timeline. It occurs only after rendering/exporting.

The problem occurs whereever I have placed a transition/cross fade in the piece…there are green or white horizontal lines at each transition. I am exporting the videos to DVD Video TS files to burn later to DVD using Nero.

Also, I used my old Liquid 6 to do a project and had no trouble exporting, so the export problem is occuring somewhere in Avid Liquid 7.

I really appreciate if there is anyone out there that might have some idea of what I should try next. thank you.

  • Thank you. I have been told it is an interlacing problem, but I cannot figure out how my settings could have changed in the middle of my work. I have now completely uninstalled the program and reinstalled the program and still have the problem. I know it must be settings b/c I ended up rebuilding my slide show project on Liquid 6 to meet my deadline yesterday and it rendered/exported just fine from there.

Today, I have completely uninstalled Avid Liq 7 and reinstalled. I seem to not be having the problem (I think). I do still see white, black or green lines on the transition pieces in the rendering window when the project is rendering, but when I export to DVD VIDEO TS file it seems to not show up on the final product.

I hope that my settings were reset to defaults when I reinstalled. time will tell.

    thank you,
    Jean
