I captured all my HD footage in the ProRes 422 like you advised. I am new to the HD world so bear with me. Based on reading the manual and other forums I am doing what is refered to as a mixed-format sequence (using HD & SD). But what I can’t determine is how to transcode or down convert the HD footage. Is it as simple as using a standard DV easy setup and 29.97 sequence and dropping the footage onto the timeline? then not automatically adjusting the sequence to the footage? Or is there more to this? I want to make sure my work flow is correct now before I hit a wall later by using 2 formats. My final output will be on standard DVD. Thanks for all your help so far.

Okay gentleman I have upgraded to FCP 6. Now what will be the best setup to capture the HD footage? I have a few weeks, so not a tight deadline.
