I have finally managed to fix the problem!

I converted all the problem audio from stereo to dual mono and then lowered one of the mono channels to 0db and it has fixed the problem!

That was a headache. Thanks for the help!

I have this problem as well and cannot seem to get the audio to sound correct on the laptop speakers

I bought the canon 60D for my first camera and it has been a great decision. If you can afford to spend more I would get the 5d Mkiii!
