  • yes but I cannot do that since my files are mp4s and movs. So I need some way to automate the process of doing the opposite, and also: I need to find a file format that won’t lose too much quality but won’t also be SUPERMASSIVE (uncompressed AVI is huuuuuge)

    instead of referencing those massive (4gb) files

    I can trim the project so that what is showing are the only actual files that exist.

    So it would automatically trim each file down from 4gb, to say, 200MB, because the vegas file is only actually USING 200MB worth of footage (in that edit)

  • The formats are .Mov and .Mp4 – obviously lossy and not compatible with this function.

    what would be the best way to trim these down manually? I could go through each one and make a subclip, no?
