    Hi All,

Apologies if my conundrum has already been covered in another thread, but I am about to empty the contents of my bank account, for the purchase of a HPX170(UK) and 2 x 32GB P2 Cards. I need to ascertain that the equipment I already own, and intended to purchase, will allow me to work (albeit slowly) with P2.

I am currently using an iMacG5(iSight) 2.1GHz with 2.5G Ram, OSX 10.4.11. with Final Cut ver 5.0.4 and Quicktime 7.55.

I intend to purchase the G-Tech G-Safe Raid 1 (500GB), to directly plug into the camera HPX170 for backing up my P2Cards in the field. Then return to the my iMac to edit in FCP(ver 5.04) and then out via iDVD.
    – Question No.1 Will these P2 files be easy to be read, viewed and transferred to my iMac? If so what is the best means of doing so?

+ I am thinking of buying a Western Digital 1TB My Book Studio Edition Hard Drive to back up my iMAC Hard Drive and any Edited Files possibly yielded by this configuration.
    – Question 2. Anyone uses these drives, are they good for large video files?

I am very new to this and would greatly appreciate any advice.

Wishing you all a prosperous New Year.

    Jason
