gotcha… so the new 13inch ones that are unibody (not the white one but the silver 13inch) will or won’t do the job?

the reason for the macbook is the ability to edit at home and office… i will be working 25 hours in the office and 15 at home (of course as well all know there will be countless weeks of 80plus hours). i hate to hear that a macbook is a bad decision cause i just can’t imagine them going for the 17inch… maybe i could find the older model used on craigslist or something…

i used this link and just totally disregarded compressor:
https://www.kenstone.net/discussions/read.php?3,17676quick question though… by putting “current settings” as the choice will that maintain the 1080p that it was shot in? is that what “current settings” means?
that link says to put the QT file into compressor… why would i do this? don’t i have a full HD QT file in H264 once it gets done with the FCP QT conversion? what’s the point in taking it over to compressor? -
okay the apple tv option is done, it was successful… does that mean there is nothing wrong with my video file???

thanks for the link… unfortunately i am on a campus computer so i do not have the ability (username or password) to download from that link… i will certainly meet up with a professor in the morning to see if i can get that cleared and maybe that will help.
as of right now, the apple TV compression is still working… i suppose it might fail soon, but if it goes thru does that mean that my FCP files are not messed up as you had mentioned? -
I’m using compressor in the new FCP 3 with an Imac 27inch

October 28, 2010 at 6:10 am in reply to: Used Normalize in FCP for Audio and Have Some ???sThanks so much… Color is Rendering right now so I am trying to stay out of its way and not opening FCP right now… I know I will get reemed for not saying this in the first post, but all of these questions are for FCP 6… but I believe your suggestion will work on 6 as well- right?

October 28, 2010 at 5:07 am in reply to: Used Normalize in FCP for Audio and Have Some ???sso at this point in the game is there a way to get rid of the normalizing that i have done? i guess it would be ideal to get it back to how it was originally before sending it to STP. i am not a fan of STP simply because i am not comfortable with it and have no spent much time with it. this project is due monday so i highly doubt i will have enough time to really get it perfect, but it needs some audio help for sure!!!
let me know if there is a way to undo what i have done with the normalizing in FCP… is it just under filters and i need to go clip by clip and uncheck the box???
