sorry … it seems to work.. dunno wether it was option 1 or 2 it just set both at the same time. 🙂

there is no special event at frame 35, although it does not stop exactly at frame 35 but somewhere between frame 30 and 40 depending an the format used. I tried to render into an ipod sized mp4 file, that way I made it up to frame 190 or so.
If I start rendering at frame 40 rendering stops somewhere between frame 70 and 80.
And yes, I thought about rendering 35 frames-parts… but this would result in about 6000 single parts. And i’m not bored enough to render them all!

In my opinion it has to be something with the avaible ram but since I tried rendering on 3 (now 4) different computers this seems not very plausible
