sorry for the delay. I just exported the files as an animation at 24fps as i was on a dead line.

But for future references,

the footage was shot on a panasonic p2 cam with the signal running out from sdi to a nano flash card. It was recorded at 720p24.
When i drop it in to final cut, it reads as xdcam 720p60 and the footage is very stroby. When i exported it as an animation at 24fps (was losing a lot of contrast in pro res) it looked perfect.

Like i said before, i dont have an xdcam 720p24 easy set up. When creating a custom one, i have to choose a compressor setting, i’m just not sure which one to choose.

There is no try…only do.

I forgot about about the custom presets, one question though: what should i choose as the compressor setting?

That’s odd, I’m using final cut 7 also, but there is no option for 720p24. I’ve got 30p and 60p only.
