i dont have an answer for u but just a question.

i would like 2 invest in this camera. i was just wondering if the hd footage ingests well with the proper codec setting .

do u do this via usb or do u use the sxs cards?

the sony pmw-ex1 shoots true hd right?

it has the option of shooting hdv?

i would love 2 pursue commercial work. (advertisement, music video’s…)

but i have experience with corporate video work, so ill prob be doing that once i graduate.

i will take in consideration the clients needs. thx

im thinking tho, that everything now is going hd and that soon that will be the industry standard.

can one burn hd footage on a regular dvd (i know it would prob be compressed)?

i just need to know before i buy this camera that the workflow will be fluid and that the pmw will work with my imac 2.33 ghz intel core 2 duo processor.

do u think it would be a good investment for a graduating film student who will be doing videography as well as independent art house pieces?

i just sold my hdr-fx1 and would like to shoot on a real hd format

i had a simaler problem while shooting on a project. when i uploaded my footage, i had those wierd progressive scans from a high quality hd cam.

an advisor suggested that they would not show up in the final print, but i would definitly seek more advisement on this issue.

i had a simaler with my sony hdr-fx1.

footage would never break with time code. it captured as one continuous clip. i suggest u go 2 an apple center for some pro care.
