Thanks Andrew, I think it will be to much hassle for me. I also use nucleo pro and it all works pretty well. Have a good weekend!

so what you do is you move the entire project around?
you can’t somehow use the old machine to speed up the new?

I will try that out.
I have had expression timeout error before, but then a warning always popped up..
I solved the problem for now with the trapcode echospace plugin wich works very well.

The problem is that when i import the footage, it shows up streched (not anamorphic) in after effects.
should have said that in the first post!

the original footage was dvcpro50 anamorphic (PAL 25p.), so DV i guess..
I have used final cut to edit the material and now I want to move it to after effects to add some animation…

I’m capturing dvcpro 50 (pal) from a AJ-SD930, but the same thing happens to me, after roughly 3 seconds, the capture stops with a message that there might be a problem with my tape. I have tried different tapes but the same thing happens. do you have any idea?

but what I was looking for was a way to make a grid with the pen tool and then turn each square in the grid into a new layer.
Maybe I wasn’t so clear…

thanks for taking the time!

I am not so great with scripting, but I tried to paste in your script and i get a 0 value for every frame, so: no movement.

I tried:

valueAtTime(time+random(1,2))

but again: different framenumber every time in no order.

I have moved the time remap values manually to get my effect and it is no big deal, but it would offcourse be nice to get to the bottom of how to do it with a script.
