I finally found a good comparison of what I was going for.
Look at this clip.
It’s been exported from sony vegas pro 10 with the deinterlacing method “blend fields.”

Thank you so much! The footage now looks much better (to me of course.)
Here is the footage exported but without being progressive, interlaced and re-sampled.

Nope. They are both set to blend fields. Wait, is that the cause?

The footage is orgianally 720p 30fps and Vegas thinks it’s that. The footage was not altered in any way by me but, the Program altered it in the render settings. Whethere it was interlaced or not, I still got interlaced footage

I do render in those settings. Is progressive video causing the problem?

I checked and nope it’s not enabled. You mind if you can give me a breif summary of progressive scan?

You are right, I do need to get better at using a tripod in general but the footage comes out looking strange to me. Do you think I should get a other editing software because it is always interlaced and it looks stupid. By the way, I did check the original footage and it’s sony vegas’s fault.
