If you have M100 Suite bundled with RED, can you download & use the RED 5.4+ stand-alone with the same license, or are you limited to a trial version?

If I need to convert to something else, I usually export as a by-reference MOV and then process that file through Sorenson Squeeze. I have also fed Squeeze self-contained files but the by-reference files conserve more drive space.

Did you get things working again?

The release notes for Suite 2.1.5 say:

“This release supports Apple Inc® Computers with Intel processors running a minimum of Mac OS X 10.6.6 “Snow Leopard.” Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”, Mac OS X 10.8 “Mountain Lion” and ” Mac OS X 10.9 “Mavericks” are supported.”

2.1.5 is working ok on our 10.7.5 system and under Mavericks.

It also says that LHi AJA Driver v10.3.1 should work. We are using v10.4.4 with our boards, no problems. It looks like the latest version though is 10.5.2, I don’t know if that one is supported yet or not. v10.4.4. is available in AJA’s software archive section.

It looks like we’re using v10.4.4 drivers with our LHi boards.

One mac is running 10.7.5 and the other is running 10.9.2. We’re using Media100 Suite 2.1.5 on both.

Is this happening with all title tracks or just a particular one? Have you tried recreating the title track from scratch? From time to time, I will need to do that when a title track or composition clip is misbehaving.

Ok. I’ve been running 2.1.5 & Mavericks on one of our Mac Pros for a week or so now. Everything seems to be ok so far. No sign of the dreaded “Media 100 is busy while the clip is being edited” bug. I’m glad that thorn has been removed. Thanks.

Something amiss with the file/folder permission settings? Anything locked on the drive?

If you only added the PROJECT MEDIA folder manually, then M100 might still be looking for the RENDERED MEDIA folder which is a sub-folder of the above.

Also, there’s an option under MEDIA 100 PREFERENCES for MEDIA searches. If one of the options there is turned off, M100 might not be looking in the external drive when you do the auto search.

I prefer to tell M100 manually where to look as the exhaustive searches tend to take a long time.
