    Yup, that problem.

Actually I’m noticing a bad color shift no matter what fx I use with Lumetri. Almost looks like a broadcast safe limiting like sometimes kicks in with BCC plugs on Avid.

But here, it’s not just safe limiting, it’s shifting, desaturating. Yuck.

One rec was to do morph cut on layer 1 and add an adjustment layer for lumetri and so on on layer 2…helped, but didn’t really fix.

    I’m using XAVC-I 100 shot Slog3Cine with a lut applied.

After years of Avid, I’m adopting Premiere, but Avid is still more solid (if always klunky) at many things!

    Same problem, Julien.

    Anyone?

    Can we trust FCP scopes?

    Thanks,

  • Here’s a thang:

I export SMPTE bars from Avid (601/709) as ProRes(HQ).

I bring that file into FCP 7 and the bars now don’t hit 0 and 100.

Is it that FCP scopes which say 0% to 100% actually are saying that is 0-255 RGB?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thx,
    Jacob

  • Here’s an advanced question for timewarp masters. I’m on a PC Avid. I mostly use Mac. I thought on Mac when I hold the command button and drag a keyframe up or down, it would increase by a locked 25% increment. Now I can’t do this in Avid 5. Can’t figure it out on PC Avid 5 as well. Has this feature been lost?

    Thanks!
