So update : finally got it to work, updated to windows 10 creators update, and launched Vegas again. And voila… The problem has been solved.

Tried that, deleted VP completely and re installed the latest (211) . Still the same.

And I really do appreciate all your help.

Tried that, didn’t work actually, the changing buttons of 1 column to 2 columns are solid, and doesn’t get pressed but I managed to change by going to another FX and coming back, but no use.

Just tried most of the fxs.
The problem extends to
Color gradient
Credit roll
Test pattern
(Legacy) text

It’s not just one FX, it’s almost all of the fxs that fall under the title “colour gradient”

Yup, tried all all those things including resetting the entire pc and updating the drivers to no avail. Guess I’ll have to stop using VP

Yup, did just that right now, did not work same problem

Nope, didn’t help, tried all of that except for the registry edit, as that particular registy ms sans serif etc, doesn’t exist

Yup, done that.
That was the first thing I did after resetting the pc, incase any applications were interferening . It would be interesting to note that I installed the same software on my friends Dell laptop, with a 940 Nvidia you and it worked. Not sure what’s the holdup in mine

Tried, rebooting no change.
Tried putting DPI scaling off, from the properties of the icon , no change
Tried changing the rendering from integrated GPU to dedicated GPU no change.
Tried even resetting the windows deleting all apps just keeping the personal files , no change.

Not sure what to do next.
