That did the trick. Thanks a lot Floh.

The little button called scale RGB values solved it.

[Jack Shepard] “It was exporting fine but I added some Color FX and now it wants to rerender all the footage upon export (it’s a LOT of footage) so the render time is enormous. Is this due to me switching codecs once again?”

If you want to export ColorFX, they need to be rendered. This is not related to codecs, but to the fact that although you can play the ColorFX in realtime, they need to be rendered before exporting.

Thanks for the answers Floh. It is rendering more than just the ColorFx though. It is going back rendering the entire piece of media it appears. And some of these clips are 10 minutes to an hour long. Any idea on why it is doing that?

How would the DVCPro HD codec do with Color? I have a few projects I have been working on in that codec and wanted to go into Color when they are finished.

    Thanks

Ahhh Red Rushes. Didn’t even realized I had that – much easier and faster.
One thing — when I convert into Media 100 the picture seems to be coming in fine. The audio isn’t. I’m bringing it in at 1080psf29.38. One of the channel seems to be nothing but white noise hissing and the other side seems to be really slowed down. Very strange.

    Also in redrushes:
I have the debayer quality at: Half Res (standard) – May be too high res as I’m editing in Producer off a laptop as we will be on location?
    Look Source: Camera
    Color Space: REC 709
    Gamma Space: Look Source

    Is this correct?

    Wick,

Thanks for all the answers. Great to see the Media 100 voice on this forum.
Also kudos on the XML function in version 13. It is a beautiful thing.

Also can Media 100 use the actual XDCam codec itself? Can’t figure out how one would do that so I am guessing no?

    Thanks.

Which codec would you recommend using for this? DVCPRO HD is panasonic based so I assume that wouldn’t be the best choice. I’m on a laptop at the moment so can’t do uncompressed. Apple Pro Res 422 HQ?

    Question part 2:
Is there any way to convert the 720p 23.98fps into SD 29.97. It is not an option in the conform program menu?

    Thanks!

Thanks much. Makes sense. I’ll take a look at what you suggested.
