Easy for you to say if you live in the USA. These cameras cost about double in Europe. If I only plan on shooting HDV with the JVC I don’t see any difference. The specs at the retailer’s site are vague and the specs on JVC’s site don’t exist.

Does anybody own these two cameras? Any difference?

OK say we shoot at 24 frames a second. Would this then lead to a disc authored at 24 frames per second using either PAL or NTSC pixel ratios? Do set top players play back 24 fps DVD’s worldwide?

It would be nice if one camera could give you 25p & 30p, for those of us that work in the States & Europe…
