Apparently Yosemite changed a bunch of permissions around and it messed with Premier.
I found the instructions in this article VERY helpful:

Hi Al,
were you able to get you H4N fixed? I’ve run into the same problem with mine..it only lasts about ten minutes with fresh batteries before having the battery life indicator go to “no bars” and then cutting off.

any luck with yours?
