V 4.5 is what i have. I have put the video side by side and their is a marked difference. It seems that a lot of people like the Canopus so that is what I will buy as I can see the difference in my own eyes. I have a project to shoot that will go out to 400k students in 08 so I need to get onto other learning items 🙂

I recently just dived into HDV and have loved the process of learning until I tried making a SD DVD from HDV footage using Avids codec – Boy what a frustating time it has been. I have Sorenson and the images just keep coming back with artifacts through the roof. I downloaded a copy of Procoder and bam I love the image. Do you know something I don’t? Probably it wasn’t meant as a rhetorical question hehe. Does procoder do something that Sorneson doesn’t I would love to use Sorenson since I own it but will fork over the cash if need be. The settings seem to be identical in both programs and when i look at the footage side by side the procoder comes out on top!
