Hi,

yeah it’s very easy (drag’n’drop) to import .psd files from PS into AE. You will be asked what layer You want to import (with transparency and even styles).

Also You can try to apply keying effects onto your layer directly inside AE. I think Keying/Color range effect would similar to magic wand.
