Can you copy it to the same location/drive or does that fail as well? Try using Content Browser to manually import it to the drive.

March 2, 2015 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Content Browser Consistently Crashes When Spot Checking Clips – Ian CookCan you try rebuilding the metadata and seeing if the issue continues? Create a folder on your desktop, then highlight it in one of the Explorer windows and File–>Import your .mp4s to this location. You’ll get a new BPAV archive with regenerated XMLs, picture pointers etc. You can also try this with just one or two clips to reduce the amount of time it will take. If there are no issues on the copy you can then import the rest of the clips to the new BPAV.
Please also trash the CB preferences. Com.sony.ContentBrowser.plist

not possible with X at the present, i’m afraid. it will only export 24 bit audio. even if you run the file through Compressor and change the audio to multiple discrete mono channels the audio metadata is not quite set correctly and the hardware won’t accept the file. .mxf files for non-EX XDCAM formats can be written without issue. we’re hoping to get this fixed but i do not have an ETA.

yes, absolutely, just make sure you download the SxS Device Driver. note that you only need this driver when using the express card slot…

Sony card reader (or camera, but the camera is USB 2), and preferably either Content Browser (CRC verification on copies), Catalyst Browse (basic play/copy/grade but no copy verification yet), Catalyst Prepare (MD5 checksum verification) or ShotPut Pro (MD5)

No, you will need to use SxS or XQD media in order to record UDF or exFAT.

Not yet. I have a loose target but we are still working out release timing with Apple.

February 11, 2015 at 7:50 pm in reply to: New Sony Applications for XDCAM, XDCAM EX, RAW, SR and NXCAMok.. If it’s happening during logging it sounds like a permissions issue. Are these optical discs or SxS cards? Make sure you have the latest SxS UDF driver or optical VFAM driver. Let me know…

February 11, 2015 at 5:37 pm in reply to: New Sony Applications for XDCAM, XDCAM EX, RAW, SR and NXCAMHi David– as a troubleshooting step try restarting with all your external drives disconnected. If you still can’t launch try restarting with your wifi/network connections disabled. This will hopefully at least point us in a direction. There is no log file for me to analyze if we can’t at least get to the UI after installing.

This is expected behavior when the SxS UDF driver is not installed or not working. Files transfer very slowly (anywhere from 5-10x slower than normal) and the card will display as read-only with 0 bytes free. Uninstall both drivers (you only need the device driver when using an PCI SxS slot or Thunderbolt card reader) and reinstall only the latest UDF driver with Yosemite support from https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/sxsudfdriver. Please let us know if this remedies the issue.
