Hi, I’m just wondering how you sorted your renaming XF305 files. Did you go the Prelude option? I have the exact same problem and can’t find a definitive answer anywhere. Cheers, Howard

Thanks once again Rob for taking the time and your detailed answer. Yes it’s tricky, I want something that bonds strongly but also something that doesn’t damage the LCD if I need to take it off. You’re right marine adheasive sounds like the best bet. I’ll post any success stories here. Cheers, Howard

Hi Rob, thanks for your quick reply. I have a GGS Viewfinder, great little product. I still have the mounting frame, it just didn’t stick. Followed instructions to the letter. Double sided carpet tape sounds interesting, you think it would be strong enough to hold the Viewfinder. Here’s the product….

If it is I think a great many people would be interested to know. We film a lot in the jungle so we need a pretty good adhesive to handle the heat and humidity.

Hi Rafael, thanks. Do you mean, don’t use ‘Image Control – Levels’ at the end – after Broadcast Safe filter – but use RGB Limit instead? Or do you mean use it just on those above-mentioned shots?
I have to admit I’m a bit confused on how to know whether I have superblacks considering my waveform monitor doesn’t register anything below 0. I’ve also read that superblack only applies to SD.
    Any insights?
    Cheers, Howard

Sorry for not thanking you both earlier for your quick replies – took a couple of weeks off. I haven’t as yet sent the program to Fairlight, I was testing the omf export to make sure I wouldn’t have problems i.e. didn’t want to book time and have everything prepared only to find the crossfades pushed the program out of sync.

Sending straight to STP from FCP means levels, crossfade etc are lost.

I have read a number of people seem to have the same, or similar, sync problem. Maybe it is only a Soundtrack pro bug. I’ve gone through the whole program, deleted all crossfades and done them manually. Pain in the butt but better than risking my whole booking on the Fairlight re-syncing. I will take a short test track with me to check and report back in case anyone else has this problem.

    Cheers, Howard
