the terrablock doesn’t require that card, it is just recommended, other cards work, but can be buggy with mounting drives. As of now I am against the mac pro, I have had nothing but problems and crashes with it.

I don’t have a problem with universal on our g5’s but on our intels it is unbearable, and our clients are new having the same issues, (crashes in/out of FCP). this seems to be a new definition of “universal.” aka, problems becoming universal… though I kid, it doesn’t necessarily seem to be FCP related.

I’m getting tons of crashes with this new system. I have yet to isolate it to RAM, the cards, workflow, or anything else. I crash in FCP, in AE, in Final Touch… you name it… it is always random and it is never a typical “mac” crash, it is the freeze type of crash, no way to pull out, just shut the system down. Luckily we are a testing facility and not under the gun of mission critical work, good luck to you guys!
