  • Final Cut Pro leverages plenty of unique technologies available only in the Macintosh OS. Apple could bring it to the PC but then development would be more difficult because the codebase would have to be kept in a rather generic state that ensures parity amongst the two platforms.

    I think the better thing is to have open and interoperable standards so that studios don’t have to make a platform decision but rather each computer platform whether it be linux, Mac or Windows is just another node.
