I wanted to buy a camera, so I bought a GH4 earlier this year. Interested to record the uncompressed FullHD video signal in 10-bit. Panasonic’s firmware page says version 2.1 (c.2015) enables

“HD Native HDMI Output at 30p/25p native output via HDMI is available while recording video in FHD at 30p/25p.”

Trying to wrap my head around whether this means the camera now outputs FullHD progressive and the Atomos recorder will be able to match what the camera outputs.

Anyone have experience with the latest firmware updates and recording externally with the GH4? Craig, whatever happened with your setup?
