Thank you! Here is the info I could gather…please let me know what else you need….My computer is 64 bit and not sure if it is compatible, I can upgrade to Windows 7 if you think this would make a difference. Smaller video like 20 seconds was able to render.

    OS is vista 64 bit
    Pentium dual-core cpu 2.60 GHz
    6.00 GB RAM
Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 (build 92)
HD skateboarding footage (19.06 MB) apprx 50 seconds
    MainConcept AVC/AAC
    1 hard drive
save as type Windows Media Video V!! (*.wmv)
    Default Template
Description (Audio: 64 Kbps, 44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo.
Video: 29.970 fps, 1280×720, Quality VBR 90, WMV V11 Compression

checked boxes= save project as path reference in rendered media
stretch video to fill output frame size &
save project markers in media file
    video rendering quality: Best
    Mode: quality VBR
    Format Window Media Video 9
    Image Size: High Definition (1280 x 720)
    Pizel Aspect ratio: 1,000 square
Frame rate 29.970 NTSC seconds per keyframe 3
    Quality 90%
I unchecked ignore third party dv codecs (recommended for rendering problems)
