Legal…. mmm. i don’t know. All i know it came from a bankrupt company any i got it from the guy who bought the lot of MACs. He said it was an Avid dongle but i askes and he didn’t bought any AVID hardware. So i bought it from him for a few euro’s. Just for fun. Maybee it isn’t an Avid dongle at all. But who cares.. I’ve already have 2 LEGAL systems running and no need for anotherone.
The thing is it is an USB dongle but only suitable for MAC. so i guess it has to be from a MAC meridien system because the ABVB MC i’ve had worked with an ADB dongle ant the PC meridien i own has a USB dongle only for PC. The Adrenaline i have has a dongle suitable for both PC and MAC. Also the Avid Xpress DV 3.5 i own ( bij the way all LEGAL!!!) has a PC/MAC suitable dongle.
I already downloaded an MAC MC11.8 from avid so i’m going to make a dongledump soon. if anyone is interested i will let you know the outcomming.

I’ve had a demo from avid on the new Symphony Nitris HD last week. HD looks fine, even HDV but you can forget about any visual effects or colorcorrection. it simply has to much compression. even when you digitize in the new avid compressions. further, HDV is only 1080×1440 and 25Mb instead of 1080×1920 and 400Mb……… So how much HD is it…..
