It happens.

Try trashing your two msm files in the media files folder. do it when Avid is not running, next time you start the software it will rescan the media files and recreate them.

They are located in the MXF folder

I believe it will solve your problem.

maybe you have “add to active parameter” in the keyframe menu and no parameter is active, or something of the sort.

if you want to work old school… check “add to all parameters”, it will work just like it used to

Neil, to my best knowledge there are no P&Z filters for video in MC, only for graphic files.
and 3D warp won’t work either. SD project resolution will resize HD files to SD. if you resize them again, you’re resizing a resize 🙂

only thing you can do is reformat in the bin and refresh sequence

welcome back to the Avid way of thinking, resolution is project based, not sequence based, and it does kind of suck.

🙂 with every Avid update in the past 6 years its the first thing i check. it made so much sense in the transition years from SD to HD,
that the fact it wasn’t introduced then makes me wonder if it will ever be.

I’d even say its the one thing where FCP7 beats MC with no reply

if you really have to work with HDV… why add the headache of FW capture?

there are many I/O solutions with MC6, SDI/component capture of HDV to DNXHD will yield better files and may run smoother.

you can alt-drag tracks to reorder them, right-click and rename or delete them, you can actually rename them anything you like
