Thank you! Never crossed my mind to do that (goes to show you how much I have to learn). I was curious about my capture and rendering settings, though. Can I achieve a film-like look with 60i with my composition and lighting? And what happens if my render settings don’t match with my capture settings? Will I get that horrible mousetoothing/line jitter? Or am I asking the question in the wrong forum altogether?
I should clarify that it’s not Vegas that is having problems handling transitions, it’s the broadsign software we use to push the video onto our HDTVs.
Thanks. this is what i was going for yesterday, only when i was masking, I was never quite happy with the noise levels on the rim of the hot tub to the right. This looks like a happy medium. I will just keep fiddling with it till I get it right and use only the footage that is standing still. Thanks again!
I used a jpg, so the image is degraded just a bit. But the problem is a hazy, washed out video, and when I try to adjust the saturation and contrast, I get nowhere. it gets brighter and more saturated, and noisy and hazy.
Thank you. I can fix the bright sunny shots, but when I tried it on one of my indoor shots the result was that it became too dark and I lost most of my details. I tried brightening it up and the result was square one: haze. Tried using it as a composite and same problem. My indoor shots were a problem because I was supposed to capture both the interior view and the outside view of the beach. The compromise is just washed out and hazy. Trying to increase the contrast, levels, anything brings out noise. I’m beginning to think it’s not fixable without a plugin or reshooting with filters (which are not in the budget).
Ahh, we’re actually using the BroadSign Player software to push the videos onto the TVs. We have noticed that it isn’t exactly top notch. So that must be it. Thank you!
