FYI: i use a macbook pro and i connect my thunderbolt chassis (NA211TB) to it.
My job requires me to edit and re-encode the RED files on set as i do my back up so that the editors can use the lower res for edit.

This is definitely my best buy so far. I tested it and it works well with all my video cards, esp my red rocket and my Da Vinci Resolve playsback in realtime. Got it from a local distributor in Singapore quite cheaply
