So far, I’ve got the adjustment layer + the blur.

The next bits I didn’t understand so well…

I want to be able to track the footage and apply the effect so it moves with the video motion.

Is that possible?
When I click the adjustment layer, there isn’t an option to track…

A couple of questions also:

– Why would I need to apply the effect to a null?
– How would I do that?

Ok, after about 4 hours of testing, I’ve finally worked out what the issue is. Whatever colour I make the AE bg, it doesn’t transfer to Premiere.

So what I was doing was using a white bg with black text. In Prem, it was not showing a bg and just making it transparent (showing the default black), so that’s why my text wasn’t showing up – it was black on a black bg.

So my question now has changed: How can I get the background to not be transparent when I import it to Premiere?

I now have around 10 clips in the sequence with dip to white, so basically that’s what I’ve done. I’ve copied the effects onto each clip instead of the adjustment layer.

However, for me that defeats the point of having an adjustment layer. Is the dip to white meant to work that way, or is this an issue with the software?
