RE: The Firewire 400port in the system…
The Mojo did work on the FW card with Xpress Pro, when I upgraded to Media Composer 3.5 it stopped working. So what you are saying is that Media Composer 3.5 could quite possibly not be compatible with the a Firewire port it was once compatible with in Xpress Pro?
I guess I wouldn’t put it past AVID. Where do I find the specs for MEdia Composer Hardware requirements that are as detailed as to which FW 400 ports are compatible.
Has anyone had any success using the FW 400 port in the back (or front for that matter) to connect an MOJO analog to a Mac Pro 3.0 Quad Core Tower?
RE: Reinstalling the system.
Should I completely wipe off the system drive and start from scratch? I have reinstalled MC 3.5 several times…man this is frustrating.
Avid forces you to only use their hardware for breakouts / previewing etc, but then they have massive compatiblity issues. It’s just a bummer.
