    Hey All,
Just took delivery on a C100 with a Ninja2 recorder. For my first shoot (some interviews in a studio with white background and high key lighting) I am nervous about the 1080 23.98 (60i) pulldown- Is this my only option without having to do some codec processing in post- or will the codec be necessary?.
I am using to ninja to avoid having to transcode to Prores.. and to take advantage of the full sensor.
A little nervous about diving into C-log, Cinema lock, etc…on this first job. Can anyone advise me on camera and recorder setup – to keep my options open?

I discovered that the pulsating hiss is coming from my Firestore FS-4 portable Hard Drive. I noticed that the audible pulse frequency matched that of the LED status light on the FS4, which pulses at about 1 cycle per second. I conclude that it is best to keep your wireless receiver far from your FS 4, which is interfereing with the radio mic.
    Other observations:
It is an old VHF mic. I dont know if the same problem would arise with UHF mics.
This phenomenon did not happen for several months. I have two FS-4s of different ages and the interference happens to both in a controlled setting. I can only conclude that I was lucky in the past, or that something in my wireless mic has changed.. time to retire it. perhaps. I welcome suggestions. Does COW have an FS 4 thread?
I find the FS 4 to be a great time saver- eliminates digitizing footage! This design is a bit clunky and my guess is that the bib boys- sony canon panasonic- will put some resources behind their versions and the FS4 will become like yesterday’s walkman.

    thanks.
I suspect that the old mic is the problem and will report back when I discover what is going on.
