    Thanks

Thought that might be the case and as you say image sequences are the way to go for final render
Sometimes it is useful to see a rough rendered low res animation to pick up errors

    Thanks

    Thanks Jim

Looks like I am still living in a cave with R14

What I see is very different

What puzzles me that sometime ago in a sober state I managed to get a DiVx codec in but cannot recall how

    Thanks
I have some grass that hides the tree line looks ok

Overall the image looks flat ….. lacks reflections
I normally would do this with a Sky and a HDRI but I am using a physical sky so I am unsure how to get the reflections working better

    Any suggestions???

    Thanks Steve.

I am aware of most of what you stated in your reply
I am using a Physical sky in the scene and bump maps dont quite get there
Displacement with subdivision gets there …. its not an animation (yet) so render times are not a big issue
I have never used the deformation effector in Mograph I am still in the dark past with R14

I suppose what I was hinting at is if there is a procedural approach rather than using images
    Any thought on this?

    Regards

    Greg
