I have a shoot coming up where I will be using 2 Sony EX1 cameras. I will have 2 32GB SxS cards in each camera. The first show I am filming will be about 1.5 hours. I will film in full HD 1080p.

Your conversation may answer my question. I will have less than 2 hours to dump the 1.5 hour show to my external USB2 hard drive which will be connected to my laptop. I will have to do this twice from 2 cards, but I only have one laptop and one external drive.

Will I have enough time to get it done before the next show starts? Do you recommend a second laptop and drive?

I have always used tape and filmed in SD for this annual event.
